Laser Engraving

Laser engraving utilizes a laser to accurately engrave data, text, and images on a wide variety of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Our fibre laser is capable of producing lines as thin as 0.001".

This excellent beam quality combined with robotic manipulation delivers a flexible service that can tailor itself to components with nearly any surface, size, or shape. Engraving depths range from 0.003" - 0.040".

Data to be engraved is typically sent as a 3D model or 2D vector file including .CAT, .IGS, .STP, .DWG, and .DXF formats. The file is loaded into the engraver for pre-processing inspection. Once the data, location, and orientation is approved, the laser operator proceeds to the engraving stage.

Engraving is a quick process that allows for fast turnaround times. After engraving is complete, the work surface is cleaned and the depth, thickness, and overall quality of the engraved surface is inspected.
